Helen Carlson, age 96, passed away September 12, 2016 with her loving husband, Carl, at her side, in Montrose, CO. Helen was born April 22, 1920 to Martin and Genora Larson.  Helen spent her childhood in the Milan area and graduated from Milan High School before continuing her education at Lyn Business School. Helen married the love of her life Carl Carlson on December 6, 1947 in Big Bend, Minnesota. Helen was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Benson, Minnesota. Helen particularly loved crossword puzzles, reading and long walks, but more than those things she loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Carlson and is survived by her husband Carl Carlson, her sons Jerrold Carlson, James Carlson, her daughter Judy Evans, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Service for Helen on October 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at the Veterans Cemetery in Grand Junction, CO.
