Hector Guillen Rivera, 81, passed away on July 19, 2021, at his residence in Montrose.

Hector was born to Trinidad Rivera Miranda and Benicio Guillen Alcantar on Dec 6, 1939 in Xalisco, Nayarit, MX.

Hector lived most of his life in Colorado, He believed in doing things right, so he took the test and got his U.S. citizenship.  he was known by many ranchers in Montrose, Ouray & Gunnison counties where he herded livestock throughout the mountain terrain in early years in the United States. Hector also worked for over 20 years at the Russell Stover’s in Montrose until his retirement He enjoyed fishing. Flowers n gardening as well as cooking.

Hector is survived by 1 sister, Laura Avila of Olathe, CO. 2 sons, Nick & Hector Guillen, and 2 grandchildren all of Montrose, CO.

He is proceeded in death by both parents’ sisters & brothers and 1 son all of Mexico.
