Harry Edward Edmond

Harry Edward Edmond, age 83,  lifetime Montrose resident, died February 15, 2016 at his home.  Harry was born August 15, 1932 to Alfred and Mary Ruth (Evans) in Montrose, Colorado.  He spent his childhood and graduated high school in Montrose.  Harry married Eloida Jean Fisk on December 18, 1960.  She preceded him in death in June 30, 1998 in Montrose.  He later married Katy Baker on September 9, 1999 and she also preceded Harry in death on December 17, 2015.

Harry enjoyed spending time with family.  He loved the outdoors and hunting.  A favorite past time included dancing and gardening.  He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Surviving family members include his son, Edward (Tricia) Edmond of Gardendale, Texas; his daughter, Mary (Phil) Dull of Olathe, Colorado and Barbara (Joe) Groshart of Montrose; grandson Nicholas Lambuth  of Grand Junction, Colorado; stepchildren, Tommy (Lori) Karst Jr., of Aurora, Colorado, Kandi (Saad) Karst Al-Harthi of Fresno, California/Saudi Arabia, Alice Karst of Grand Junction; 16 stepgrandchildren, and 22 stepgreatgrandchildren.

A Celebration of Harry’s life will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel.  Inurnment will follow the service at Grand View Cemetery.  Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, in Montrose is assisting the family.
