Gerry Krotz passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, May 22^nd.

Geraldine Krotz was born on November 26, 1954 in Cleveland, OH to Richard Krotz and Catherine Krotz (Hyland). She was lovingly raised with her 5 siblings, Cecilia, Philip, Michael, Frances, and her beloved sister Ginny. Gerry graduated from Mayfield High School in 1972. After high school Gerry played competitive softball where her team went on to win the regional state championships. Her love of softball continued when she moved to Colorado and played until she was 44 years old.  

At the age of 29 Gerry became a mother to a beautiful daughter, Melissa Jean. At age 31 she happily welcomed her son, Kevin Michael. In June of 1989 Gerry, Melissa, and Kevin began their journey in Montrose Colorado where they have built a beautiful life for the past 30 years. Gerry loved her children and grandchildren more than anything.

In 2005 Gerry met the love of her life, Bob Foreman. Bob and Gerry enjoyed traveling to Alaska as well as being with friends and family. They both had a strong love for music. They were good for each other and good to each other.

Gerry was well known for her outstanding work ethic throughout her entire life. She served as a waitress at The Sandtrap, The Red Barn, and Lorenzo’s. She was voted “Best of the Valley” multiple years in a row for her outstanding abilities as a waitress.  In 2010 she transitioned to working for Health and Human Services Eligibility Department. She was loved everywhere she worked by both customers and co-workers.

Gerry had many hobbies including basket weaving, jewelry making, music, and above all else baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians.

We will miss many things about Gerry, her smile, her love, her hugs, and most of all her infectious laugh that could light up any room.

Gerry is survived by her significant other, Bob Foreman of Olathe, CO, daughter, Melissa (Tyrel) Coram of Montrose, CO, son, Kevin Rouzer of Montrose, CO, sister, Cecilia Babb of Waynesboro, TN, brother, Philip Krotz of Montrose, CO, brother, Michael (Bonnie) Krotz of Windsor, OH, sister Frances Noonan of Montrose, CO, her 5 grandchildren, Aiden, Blake, and Chandler Coram of Montrose, CO, Madelynne and Zachary Rouzer of Montrose, CO all of whom she loved very much. Her stepchildren Daniel Foreman of Raleigh, NC, Amber Foreman of Olathe, CO, and her step grandson Braxton Foreman of Olathe, CO. As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gerry is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Catherine Krotz, her beloved sister Ginny Krotz, and her brother in-law Patrick Noonan.

The family invites you to attend a celebration of life for Gerry at the Montrose Elks Lodge, 801 S. Hilcrest Dr., on Friday June 7^th at 4pm. If you would like to bring a homemade dish to share it is appreciated.
