Gerald (Jerry) Louis Teansky

 

Jerry was born June 9, 1939 and passed away at home on April 12, 2019, with loved ones around him.

He was born In Crawford, Nebraska and moved to Hemingford, Nebraska where he grew up until graduating.

He married Frances (Jean) Osborn, March 18, 1958. Together they had four children Victoria (Vickie) & Richard Geer, Rodney (Rod) & Kara Teansky, Blake & (Cherie) Teansky, Lark & (Jeff) Keehfuss.

Jerry and Jean moved the family to Montrose, Colorado working at several types of jobs; natural gas service-man, mechanic, bus driver, merchandising and County of Montrose.

The family grew up in the areas of Montrose and Olathe.

After Jean passed away in 2012, Jerry later met and married Patricia (Pat) Collins. Jerry was very passionate about Pat’s family, Brenda & Chris. Ronnie & Janet, Dwayne & Kathy, forged a new family relationship with them.

Together Jerry and Pat shared 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren He enjoyed very much an opportunity to pursue a ranching life style and time helping with chores.

His passions were hunting, fishing, camping, song and dance, visiting or in better words “remolding the wrong way of doing things”.

Our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather or friend will forever be missed but remembered.

Until we meet again, we all live better to have known him.

Funeral service is Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 3:00PM at Crippin Chapel, Montrose Colorado. 249-2121. Family requests casual dress (jeans and collared shirts are appropriate).

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to HopeWest Hospice- 725 S. 4th St. Montrose, CO 81401.
