Frances Lorraine Wootton Crans
July 15, 1920 ~ January 16, 2018
Frances Lorraine Wootton was born July 15, 1920 to Francis Daniel Wacher Wootton and Cora May (Bagley) Wooten in Denver, Colorado and passed into her Lord’s hands January 16, 2018 at the age of 97. She was the third child and went through the Denver public schools, graduating from North High School. She worked as a dental assistant until she met “her Charley” singing in the Church Choir. They were married 22 December 1942 in Denver and left for Louisiana where Charley was serving in the Army. During WWII she worked on base as a dental assistant.
They returned to Denver after the war and Charline Diane was born to them July of 1947. A son Daniel was still born in 1951. They settled in Aurora, Colorado and Frances worked as a bank teller at Mountain States Bank for 42 years and retired.
Frances loved her sister Dorothy and adored her Father a choir director and inventor. She loved to travel with Charley and they had wonderful times seeing this country and Canada. Her real passion was her puppies and we know she surrounded by them now.
Frances moved from their first home of some 56 years in Aurora to be with her daughter in 2005, in September 2005 “her Charley” passed away. She lived on her own 11 years before entering the Memory unit at Valley Manor where she was so loved by the caring compassionate staff.
She is survived by her daughter Charline Fresch (Gary), Nephew Donald Maurer (Anne). Grand children Robert J. Klanecky III (Pam), Jennifer Theodore (Anthony) and Elaine Chambers (Wade). Great grandchildren Kayla, Michael, Savannah and William Theodore, Caitlin and Cameron Klanecky, Mackenzie, Josie and Wesley Chambers and Great Great Grandchildren Blake and Koraline Car. A family celebration of her life will take place later this year. Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory in Montrose is assisting the family.
