Erman (Jeff) Emmett Jeffries

Erman “Jeff” Emmett Jeffries, 77, of Montrose, Colorado, passed away October 2, 2023, while surrounded by his family.  Jeff’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 1:00pm at Crippin Funeral Home, 802 E. Main St, Montrose, CO.

Jeff was a lifelong resident of Colorado having lived in Olathe, Carbondale and Montrose. Jeff spent over half his life working for Montrose County Road and Bridge. He was an integral part of the building of many of the dams in the area, working as a high scaler. He continued his legacy with the county by building and maintaining county roads and equipment. After retirement, Jeff continued working part time maintaining the roadsides throughout the entire county. He loved spending time in his garage and in the mountains, hunting, fishing, camping, and riding his four-wheeler.

Jeff was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Jeffries. He is survived by his son Jason Jeffries (Hannah), stepchildren Sandra Martinez (John), Michael Pfifer, Christopher Pfifer; grandchildren Todd Jeffries, Tori Jeffries, Kassandra Martinez, Kolby Martinez, Klay Martinez, Kreed Martinez, Danika Gilmore, Joshua Pfifer, Brandi Vela, Brooke Gray, and 12 great-grandchildren. Crippin Funeral Home of Montrose is assisting the family.
