Emma Louise Waller, age 58, of Montrose, died May 28, 2014 at her home due to complication from ALS.  Emma was born July 17, 1955 to Frank and Gladys (Martin) Story in Birch Tree, Missouri.  They she spent her childhood and graduated from high school in Kansas City, Missouri.  Emma married Lyle Doran Waller on July 4, 1974 in Oak Grove, Missouri.  She had also resided in Albuquerque, NM, Abilene, TX, Payson, AZ and Oakhurst,  CA., before moving to Montrose where she made her home until her time of death.

 Emma was a wife, mother, and grandmother, but had also worked as a Dietary Supervisor prior to her retirement for many years.  She was raised a Christian and she enjoyed working with people, and was a mother to many.  She loved crafts, sewing and gardening.

Surviving family members include her husband, Lyle Waller of the family home; sons Zan D.K.D. Waller of El Paso, TX, and Joel C. Waller of Montrose, CO; daughters in law Susen Waller of El Paso, TX and Johnna Waller of Norwood, CO; two brothers Jimmy Story of Chehalis, Washington, Kenny Story of Birch Tree, MO. Sisters Aleda Fisher of Kansas City, MO., Esther Howard of Kansas City, MO.; and four grandchildren.  Emma was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Gladys Story.  Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Colorado
