Elsie Estella Burnett (Green)

Elsie Estella Burnett, 94, passed away on July 17, 2019 with her family by her side at Colorow Care Center.

A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Montrose Nazarene Church.

Elsie was born on November 8, 1924 in Hutchinson, Kansas to George and Maggie Green. She was joined in marriage to Preston Brooks Burnett on August 30, 1943 in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was a faithful member of the Nazarene Church.  She enjoyed reading, bowling, ceramics, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy (Darrell) Gilks of Montrose; son Mike (Linda) Burnett of Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Michelle (Brad) Schreter, Brian Gilks, Angie and Dee.  Great grandchildren: Josh Schreter and Sophie Schreter. Great great grandchildren: Shayla Schreter. One sister Glenna (Calvin)Frye, nieces, nephews and friends. Proceeded in death by her loving husband: Preston Burnett in 1990, her parents, sister: Jeralyn, brothers: Ralph and Milton, grandson: Mike Jr.

Elsie (Nana) was such a kind, generous and loving wife,  mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be missed greatly.  God Bless you mom and nana. We love you!
