Elizabeth M. Benny

Elizabeth M. Benny, Betty, was born January 31, 1926 to Robert Ramsey and Elizabeth Lydia (McCalla) Harrison in Seoul, Korea.  Betty spent her childhood and graduated high school in both British and American schools in China and India.  She went on to college and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Holyoke, in South Hadley, Massachusetts.  Betty married Donald S. Benny, September. 18, 1948  in Glen Ridge, New Jersey.  When she was a girl, Betty and her family moved many times, to China, then India, and then to several states in the U.S. Betty loved reading and education, painting and art.  She stayed active skiing, swimming, playing tennis, and walking. Survivors include her husband, Donald, her children James and Robin Benny, and her brother John Robert Ramsey Harrison.  Services will take place on Friday, August 15 at 1:00.  The location is at Sunrise Creek Senior Living: 1968 Sunrise Drive, Montrose, CO. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Colorado
