Beth Etta Kauffman, age 99, formerly of Norwood, Colorado, and a resident of Grand Junction, Colorado, died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at The HopeWest Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction.  Beth was born July 17, 1917 to Edward Teft and Rebecca R. (Taggart) Randall in Elbridge, New York.  Beth received her education in New York and resided there until 1955, then moved to Norwood with her father. Beth’s brother was already a resident of Norwood then too. On February 24, 1962 Beth married Frank Buss, and lived in Norwood together until  Frank passed away on July 31, 1994.  On July 12, 1997 Beth married Bill N. Kauffman, and was owner and operator of Kauffman’s Clothing Store in Norwood for many years.  Upon their retirement, Beth and Bill moved from Norwood to Grand Junction, where they made their home until their time of death.

Surviving family members include Karl Young of Harwich, MA, and Carl Randall of Rocky Mount, NC, her second cousins; daughter-in-law Deanna Young; grandson Jeremy Kauffman; granddaughter Tammi Kauffman; other family members include Marvin and Leta Higgingson & family, Gordon and Linda King and family, Joann Showman and family, Donna Malone and family, Daphna Ryan and family, Jerry Heldman, Kenny and Karen Heldman and family, we are all her “kids”.  Beth was preceded in death by her parents and brother, both husbands Frank and Bill, and a nephew Robert Showman.

Beth enjoyed watching the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos.  She enjoyed playing bingo and card games.  Beth and Frank started spending winters in Arizona in 1962.  When Frank passed away, Bill and Beth also enjoyed going to Arizona.  Beth continued spending winters in Yuma, Arizona and continued to enjoy her friends from all over the world, who would also spent winters in Yuma.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at Norwood Cemetery in Norwood, Colorado.  Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory of Montrose is assisting the family.
