Edwin John Adams, age 80, passed away on January 24, 2017 at the Montrose Memorial Hospital. John was born February 18, 1936 to Elmer James and Else Faye (Bennett) Adams in Vici, Oklahoma. John spent 20 years dedicated to the United States Air Force. John was a proud member of the American Legion for 30 Years, and also a Member of the Montrose Elks Lodge for 41 years.

John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sandra Adams of Montrose, CO; son Steven Adams of Montrose, CO; daughter Tracy (Adams) Lindeman and husband Earl of Lexington, NE; Grandchildren Ryan Lindeman of Grand Junction, CO; Chris Lindeman of Lincoln, NE; and Danielle Lindeman of Lexington, NE.  Also survived by one brother, Jim Adams; two sisters Carole Rice (Art), and Jean Zuspan. Plus numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John was a wonderful husband, and father to his children. He loved being outdoors hunting, camping and fishing, and enjoying the beautiful mountains of Colorado.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory. (970) 249-2121
