Edward C. Yuskis

Edward Charles Yuskis, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Colorow
Care Center in Olathe, Colorado. Ed was born September 13, 1928 to Anthony and Ursula
(Macaite) Yuskis in Waterbury, Connecticut. Ed grew up in Connecticut and joined the United
State Navy, where he retired as a Lieutenant after 19 years. On November 6, 1988 Ed married
the love of his life Hazel (Harris) Yuskis in Cortez, Colorado. Ed had a special interest in
computers, and electronics, and was also a member of the Montrose Southern Baptist Church.
Ed is survived by his wife Hazel Yuskis of Montrose, CO; his step-son, Linley & wife
Zada Leonard of Cortez, CO; his step-daughter, Jacqueline Yancy of Denver, CO; Lorraine
Leonard of Cortez, CO; 13 Grandchildren; 23 Great-Grandchildren; and 9 Great Great-
Grandchildren. Ed is preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Ursula Yuskis, two sisters,
one brother, and his former wife Ruth.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Crippin
Funeral Home Chapel. Retired Master Chief Petty Officer Linley L. Leonard will officiate the
services. Burial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 West Kenyon Ave.,
Denver, CO 80236. Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory are assisting the family with
