Dorothy Ann Goff was born on September 28, 1956, in Mancos, Colorado to Walter and Josephine Goff. She graduated from Fort Lewis college with a degree in secretarial science. She married Bob Goode on June 6, 1981 in Mancos. Together they had their daughter Kayla Dendy and son J.W. Goode. Dorothy was always self-employed at various guest and dude ranches, and in 1990 she started her own business, B & D Bonding. However, last year Dorothy believed she found her true calling as a substitute teacher for Montrose county. She was also involved in teaching baton twirling classes, as well as coordinating various rodeo queen contests. Dorothy loved to ride horses with her children, grandchildren, and friends. Whether it was gymkhanas, trail rides, or jr. rodeos, she always loved to be on horseback. She also loved to go four-wheeling in the mountains with her family and friends, fishing, and camping. She enjoyed scrapbooking, and doing 4-H with her grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kayla (Cheyenne) Dendy, son, J.W. Goode, granddaughters Austyn and Braidy Goode, sister Ruth (Steve) Valdez, niece Donna (Dave) Plowman and family, dear friend Lea Ann Dickerson and family, dear friend Mary Rowley and family, dear friend Nancy Valencia and family, and dear friend Diane Shipley and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers James and Robert Goff, sisters Dolores Daniels and Roberta Garcia, and nephew Greg Hatch.
