Donald Ray Seevers Sr.

Donald Ray Seevers, Sr., age 70 of Montrose, passed away March 21, 2017 at his home.

Donald was born May 20, 1946 to Leroy and Alma (Gibbons) Seevers in Sawpit, Colorado.  He was raised in Sawpit and Telluride area but had also lived in Yuma and Denver, Colorado before moving to Montrose where he resided with Longtime companion of seven years, Margaret M. Vaughn.  He was previously married to Shirley Lavulette.

Donald was a tractor, trailer operator, and Livestock hauler.  He was a logger for many years, but also was a tanker driver, and hauled fuel which he enjoyed doing.  Donald enjoyed gardening, Genealogy and computers.

Surviving family members include his two sons, Donald Ray Seevers Jr., of Clifton, Colorado and Ted Scott Seevers of British Columbia, Canada; one sister, Carla Thomson Arthur of Yuma, Colorado.  Donald was preceded in death by two brothers , Jackie Jackson and Bobby Jackson. and one sister, Coleen Jackson.   Donald was a loving father and friend and will be greatly missed.  Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory in Montrose is assisting the family.
