Donald R. Pemberton, age 83, of Montrose passed away January 13, 2018 at his home. Donald was born October 10, 1934 to Ervin (Dick) and Mary (Carroll) Pemberton in Las Animas, Colorado. He spent his childhood in Pueblo, Colorado and graduated from Centennial High School and went on to Pueblo Junior College. Donald received his Associates Degree in Engineering.
He married Dianne Lee in October 1960 in Columbus, Mississippi, but ended in divorce and she passed away April 11, 2010 in Sun City, Arizona. Donald was raised Presbyterian when growing up. He graduated from flight school in 1956 with the United States Airforce and then joined the Air National Guard, in New Mexico until 1984. He enjoyed flying, automobiles and loved to travel. Donald was generous with his life, and was known for his kindness and generosity when someone was in need. He will be missed by his family and friends.
At Donald’s request, cremation has taken place and family is planning a gathering at his sister’s home in the mountains of Colorado at a later date. Crippin funeral Home & Crematory in Montrose is assisting the family.
