Dennis Clay Shipley 1959-2024

Dennis Clay Shipley, 64, of Olathe, Colorado, died on March 9, 2024

He was born in Delta, Colorado to Charles “Jack” Shipley and Dorothy Shipley. After graduating high school, Dennis operated heavy machinery before eventually acquiring his very own trucking company. Later in life, he operated machinery for the county. Dennis loved working with horses and being the mountains hunting and fishing. 

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Dorothy Shipley and sister Debbie Percival. He is survived by his partner Diana Shipley; two brothers: Virgil Shipley and Wesley Shipley; Children: Heidi Kernan, Joshua Shipley (Kaitlyn), Jason Hernandez, Shanni Shipley (James); Grandchildren: Ethan, Camden, Madilynn, Tripp, Avery, Brayden and Haizen.  Funeral services for Dennis will be held on Saturday Mar. 30, 2024 at 10:00am at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose with burial to follow at Olathe Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Crippin Chapel.
