Denisa J. Messerle, born May 15, 1960, of Montrose, Colo., passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015, under hospice care at Montrose Memorial Hospital. She had suffered from a rate and horrific neurological disease, progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP)

Denisa is survived by her husband, Kerry L. Messerle, Montrose, Colo.; sons, Ian (Jenny), Seattle, Wash.; Eric (Jo), Woodbridge, Va.; grandchildren, Emma, Erilyn and Ethan; Denisa’s mother, Sandra Miller, Reedsville; brothers, Ronald, Harrisburg; and Craig, Las Vegas, Nev.; and her beloved Labrador Retriever, Mesa. She was preceded in death by her infant grandson, Chase Messerle. At Denisa’s request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.  Should you wish to memorialize Denisa, contributions in her name may be made to CUREPSP, 30 E.
