Darrel M. Flager, age 77, of Montrose, Colorado died Friday, September 30, 2016 at San Juan Living Center in Montrose.    Darrel was born November 7, 1938 to Charles and Viola (Hoskins) Flager in Pawnee, Oklahoma.

He spent his childhood in Palisade, graduating from high school and then to college at Mesa State College in Grand Junction.  Darrel served his country in the United States Airforce from 1962 to 1966.  He was a member of the Thunder Mountain Wheelers Organization for many years and loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed fishing, camping and four wheeling and anything to do with the outdoors.

Surviving family members  include his niece Renee (Bill) Holland of Silt, Colorado; nephew Reid Peeler of Henderson, Nevada and great niece Desiree Campbell, and two great great nieces Jasmine and Aaliyah.  Darrel was preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Charles Flager, sister Emma Jean Peeler and brothers Norman and Billy Jo Flager.

A viewing and gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday, October 6th at 10:30am at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow the visitation on Thursday, at 2:00 pm at Palisade Cemetery in Palisade Colorado.  Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory in Montrose is assisting the family.
