Clyde Lee Boyce, age 74, of Montrose, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Clyde was born December 6, 1938, in Bakersfield, California, to Lee Roy Boyce and Mable LaVirl (Johnson) Boyce. He graduated from Fruita High School in 1956. He served in the United States Navy. On December 17, 1961, he married Darlene Lois Tufly, and they were blessed with two sons, Brent Rodney and Wendell Scott. Clyde loved the outdoors and spent the majority of his working career working in the National Forests in Colorado and New Mexico. He loved wood working and was always thinking up new projects to work on. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, of the family home; his son Brent and his wife Sherri, and their two sons, Griffin and Alec; and his son, Wendell and his wife Christine, and their children Zach, Marcus and Samantha. His brother, Gary, and his wife Linda, of Grand Junction, also survive him. A memorial service will be held at Montrose Christian Church, 2351 Sunnyside Road, Montrose, Colorado on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow the service at Grand View Cemetery, west of Montrose. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, PO Box 1804, Montrose, CO 81402.
