Clara Viola Flowers age 86, of Nucla Passed away on September 30, 2019 at San Juan Living Center in Montrose, Colorado. Clara was born on March 30, 1933 in Siebert, Colorado, to Charles Kibel and Daisy King Kibel. She was raised in eastern Colorado and attended schools in Canon City and Goodland, Kansas.

Clara married Charles F. Flowers on March 18, 1953 in Oceanside, California. They resided in Uravan, and Nucla, Colorado, before moving to Kansas in 1963. They moved back to Nucla in 1968.

Viola enjoyed embroidery, making bead necklaces, her time with Volunteering for Seniors, the Ladies Auxiliary, and the Second Park Sewing Club.

Surviving relatives include Her sons, Charles A. (Mary) Flowers of Hamilton, MT.

Larry (Jenny) Flowers of Casper, WY. Daughters, Diana (Willy) Mellon of Eckert, CO. and Patricia (Jerry) Massengale of Marshall, MO two brothers and two sisters, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Nucla Cemetery.
