Cherrie Lyn Labrum daughter of Arthur Labrum and Magdalena “Annie” Rogers-Labrum was born on April 23, 1968 in Fruita, Colorado. She peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones on May 3, 2024.
Cherrie grew up in Ridgway, Colorado and was an inspiration to all those who knew and loved her. She managed to endure a lifetime of challenges and taught us these two simple life lessons; love your family and when life gets tough, and you fight hard enough (True Grit) you can make it through anything. Cherrie always had a beautiful smile, an amazing laugh and a big hello to everyone she greeted. She enjoyed looking at magazines, books and listening to country and classic rock-n-roll music. She was always ready to go on scenic car rides and loved drinking Pepsi. She also liked to dance, play with decks of cards and go on outings to casinos and eat at McDonalds.
Christmas was her favorite time of year because she was happy to see Santa, open presents, look at Christmas Tree lights, sing Christmas songs and loved spending time with family. She was a blessing to our family and her sweet, loving and spunky spirit will always be cherished in our hearts. She is flying free on the wings of loving angels.
Cherrie is survived by her sisters Sylvia (Mark) Owings, Cindy Labrum-Drozd and Terri (Charlie) Monzel. She was blessed with seven nieces and nephews, Amber Daller, Jeff (Lindsey) Owings, Crystal (Kaleb) Akee, Jessie (Brion) Weseman, Michael Drozd, Austen and Chelsea Monzel. There are also nine great nieces and nephews, Nicholas Rhodes, Adain and Addison Daller, Ayla and Asylin Weseman, Jazmin and Elizabeth Akee, Isabella Owings and Cypress Monzel. She is also survived by her family Joe and Charma Grey.
Her graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on July 2, 2024, at Grand View Cemetery in Montrose Colorado.
