Beth Davidson (Hudson)

April 20, 1926 — May 25, 2019

Beth Davidson, 93, of Olathe, passed away Saturday, May 25, at home, with her family.  Beth was born to Grover and Ollie Hudson, in Oneida, Kentucky, on April 20, 1926, the middle child of 11.  She graduated from Oneida Bible Institute in 1946, then lived in Ohio, working in a transistor factory before the end of WWII.  On July 19, 1947, she married Earl Davidson (predeceased) and they had three children, who survive her: Jimmy (wife Beatriz) and Greg, of Olathe, and Denise, of Montrose.  Beth is also survived by two grand-children, Levi Kroschel of Missoula, Montana and Lane Kroschel of Montrose, three great-grand-children, and scores of nieces and nephews.

After marriage, Beth and Earl started their family in Ohio.  In 1961, the couple moved to Colorado, where they continued to raise their children, and would live out the rest of their lives.

Her sister, Vicy, (predeceased), and family, also moved to Olathe, and from then on, the two sisters and families were inseparable.  Through the years, Beth held various jobs outside the home; among them, at Russell Stover Candy and the Black Canyon Inn.  But the primary focus and purpose of her life was her family.  She had a wonderful sense of humor, and always laughed loudest at herself, which was very endearing.  Her warm personality had a way of putting people at ease.   She loved to cook and share meals with her family (especially biscuits and gravy, cornbread, and Sunday dinners), and was able to create many happy moments and memories for her family and friends.  Beth was very welcoming and open and she will be sorely missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:00am at Victory Baptist Church in Montrose.  Internment will follow immediately at the Olathe Cemetery.

Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory (970-249-2121) is assisting the family.
