Barbara left this life to be with her Lord on November 3, 2014. She leaves her husband of fifty four years Donald Brown of Montrose, Colorado, two daughters, Virginia DeValue of Valencia, California, Bonnie Eggan of Alta Loma, California, and son Michael Brown of Parker, Colorado, two brothers William Hare of Downey, California and Richard Hare of Sun Valley, Idaho and sister Patricia Hare of Eagle Rock, California. She also leaves behind five grandchildren in Colorado and California as well as cousins in California and Oregon.

Barbara was born on May 15, 1940 in Long Beach, California to Ruth (Dunham) Hare and Harold Hare. After spending the war years in Long Beach, her family moved to Eagle Rock (an area of Los Angeles) after the return of her father from his service with the Armed Forces in Europe. Barbara attended school in Eagle Rock and in Glendale, California where she met her future husband. She enjoyed careers caring for children as a Day Care mother for twenty five years and twenty five years as an artist creating Teddy Bears for such companies as Disney World, Disney Land and other specialty stores across the United States. In 1995, Barbara and her husband relocated to Montrose, Colorado.

A memorial service will be held at Christ’s Church of the Valley in Montrose, Colorado in the near future.  Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home &  Crematory, Montrose, Colorado
