Andrew Steven Brent, age 78, of Montrose died May 3, 2015 at San Juan Living Center in Montrose.  Andrew was born November 4, 1936 to Andrew Michael and Julia (White) Brent in New Laurel, NJ., and graduated from high school in Carteret, NJ.   At the age of 21, Andrew enlisted in the United States Air Force serving over 25 years, and retired in 1982.

He married his wife Brenda on November 25, 1961, and had made their home in seven states prior to his retirement and moving to Montrose, where they made their home until his time of death.  Andrew enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He enjoyed softball, and was a jazz band drummer.

Surviving family members include his wife Brenda Brent of Montrose; sons Michael Joseph (Rennie) Brent of Montrose and Steven Michael (Nichole) of Kuna, ID; one daughter Andrea Sue (Jim) DiSaverio of Lakewood, Colorado;  eight grandchildren Derrek Brent of Boise, ID., Anthony DiSaverio of Lakewood, CO., Anna Marie DiSaverio of Lakewood, CO., Michael Brent of Montrose, CO., Shalea Brent, Maci Brent, Trinadee Brent, Keira Brent of Kuna,ID., and one great-grandson Xander Brent of Boise, ID.,

A Memorial Service in celebration of Andrew’s life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 (with time pending) at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel.  The service will conclude at the chapel.  A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.  Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose is assisting the family
