Alta Sha (Andersen)

October 12, 1927 — October 25, 2014

Alta Sha was born on October 12, 1927 in Orwell Township, Minnesota and passed away in her home in Montrose, CO on October 25, 2014.  Alta was the daughter of Robert and Susan Andersen and had 1 sister and 3 brothers; Pauline, Ray, Bill, Leslie, and Bobby.

In January, 1947 Alta married the love of her life, Glenn Sha.  Glenn and Alta had 3 children, Leslie, Glenda, and Paula; and eight grandchildren; Jessica, Jordon, Samantha, Dillon, Madison, Alex, Lily, and Ellie.   Glenn and Alta shared their life in Fergus Falls, Minnesota; Minot, North Dakota; Storm Lake, Iowa; and moved to Montrose in 1997.  They have many lifelong friends throughout these areas.

Alta was a wonderful woman with  quiet strength and Humble intelligence. She didn’t often voice her opinion; but when she did people listened.  Alta preferred a simple life putting more value on family and friends than on material things.  She taught her children and grandchildren through her actions and convictions.  She made sure her family and friends knew she loved them through her kind and loving gestures.

Alta will be deeply missed; and we rejoice with her as she has joined the Savior that she knew and loved and her beloved husband in Heaven.   Memorial contributions may be made to Hope West Hospice, in memory of Alta Sha, P.O. Box 1804, Montrose, Co. 81402 A service will be held in honor of her life on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 at 11:00 at St. Mary’s Church.
