Henry Allen Traynor, age 72, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Montrose Memorial Hospital. Allen was born April 24, 1945 to Henry and Mildred (Jacobson) Traynor in Cando, North Dakota. Allen grew up on a farm in North Dakota, playing basketball, riding horses, and graduated from Cando High School. On March 21, 1969 Allen married Linda Hartl in Hamilton, Montana. They were married nearly 50 years. Allen and Linda were residents of Denver, Colorado until 2000, before moving to Homosassa, Florida and enjoyed the sun and golf. After eight years of golfing and fishing, they came back to Montrose, Colorado to enjoy retirement, where he made his lifetime dream come true, building their own horse ranch by hand.
Allen will be missed by his wife of 48 years, Linda Traynor of Montrose, CO; his sister, LaVonne (Gordon) Sandau of Bismarck, ND; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Allen is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Mildred Traynor.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Circle Three Cowboy Fellowship, 62885 LaSalle Road, Montrose, CO 81401. A potluck supper will follow at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made in Allen’s name to the Circle Three Cowboy Fellowship or the Dream Catcher Therapy Center at 5814 County Road 348, Olathe, CO 81425.
