Alice J. Tidenberg

February 20, 1927 ~ July 30, 2014

Alice Joline Miller was born an only child to Nelson R. Miller and Ethel (Briggs) Miller in Montrose,

CO on February 20, 1927 and died July 30, 2014 at the age of 87. She grew up on farm helping her

parents garden, attend to animals, and heard sheep. Her mother entered her into a beauty contest to her objection at the age of 7, and was first place. She married her first love, William M. Brower in Aztec,

NM on July 12, 1955, and moved to Cimarron, Co for five years. To this union 3 daughters were born,

Hazel, Bertha, and Alice Lorraine. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1961. She then returned

to Montrose. On July 12, 1963, She Married Henry A. Tidenberg. He preceded her in death on May 13,

1983. A son, John Henry, was born to this union. Alice loved and cared for her special son for 50 years

and God blessed her. She treasured being with her family and said several times that her children were

the best part of her life. She was a fan of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. She loved spending time in

the mountains, loved being in her rose garden, and drawing.

Left to honor her memory are her children Hazel (Albert) Corman, Bertha (Norman) Johnston, Alice

Lorraine Brower, and John Tidenberg all of Montrose, Co, four grandchildren Jessica (Jeffery) Shern of

Denver, CO, Laurie (Steve) Grenoble of Montrose, Co, Heather Johnston of Kent WA, and Cameron

Johnston of Montrose, Co. Three great grandchildren Emily Shern, Samantha Grenoble, Abel Walesby,

and looking forward to the birth of her fourth great grandchild, Baby Grenoble.

Memorial services will be arranged a later date.  We love you Mom, forever and a day.  Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
