Thomas T. Cooper, lifetime Olathe resident, passed away December 19, 2017 at Colorow Care Center in Olathe at the age of 74.
Thomas was born March 21, 1943 to William and Mona (McCombs) Cooper in Montrose. He received his education and graduated from Olathe High School. Tom married Sherrie L. Luellen on November 16, 1984 in Olathe.
Tom’s passion and love was training horses. He was a working cowboy, who loved what he did. Tom was a simple man who loved the outdoors, his animals and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Sherrie of the family home in Olathe; his children Tim (Karen) Cooper of Canada; Gina (Rod) Witz of Port Angeles, WA; Rusty (Kristin) Church of Olathe; Donna (Joe) White of Olathe and Shannon Cooper of Canada; Siblings, William Marvin (Virginia) Cooper of Olathe; Donna (Dave) Faries of Olathe; David (Janice) Cooper of Lazear, CO and Dora Lou Cooper of Olathe; 12 Grandchildren, and one very special Great Granddaughter, Rylee.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Austin Church.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Bachmann officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ronald McDonald House in Memory of Thomas Cooper, 1300 East 21st Avenue, Denver, CO 80205 or Vista Charter School, 1810 St. Mary’s Drive, Montrose, CO 81401. Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory in Montrose is assisting the family. Interment will be at the Olathe Cemetery.
