Paula Elaine Blowers-Tollefson

November 12, 1947 - April 13, 2017

Service Date: April 19, 2017

A Memorial Service in celebration of Paula will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Montrose Christian Church on Sunnyside Road in Montrose, with Minister Spencer Powers officiating. The service will conclude at the Church.

Paula Elaine Blowers/Tollefson, born to John and Phyllis Anders on November 12, 1947 went to sleep with the rest of the saints who have gone on before her on April 13, 2017. It was a sudden death due to liver failure.

Paula was raised on the family farm west of Olathe and graduated from Olathe High School. She went on to Mesa State Junior College in Grand Junction and received her Associates degree in accounting. Paula married Alan Tollefson on April 3, 2004 in Mesquite, Nevada, and was a member of Montrose Christian Church. She was an avid bowler when she was healthy. Paula loved quilting, sewing and a very crafty person. She also made angel pins and pendants. Paula operated a cleaning service with the help of her mother, and prior to that she worked for Social Services for a time.

She is now blissfully celebrating the promise of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in that she has attained eternal life in his presence. Paula was an incredible special person and an inspiration to many who knew her. Her life was full of trials, pain and suffering, yet she never lost sight of the goal set before her. Whenever she was knocked down by sickness or injury, or the many surgeries she endured, without fail she would look to her LORD for strength and persevere through the trial and come out the victor on the other end. She was loving, kind, generous to a fault. She loved her family and made it her life’s work to keep and bring them all together as often as she could. Her grand-daughters were especially dear and precious in her sight. She looked forward with great anticipation to any visit she could have with them. One could write a trilogy about Paula and the life she lived but unfortunately space is limited. Suffice to say “she was very much loved by all who knew her well”. Her departure was unexpected at the time but one could never say it was untimely. Our Heavenly Father has a plan for our lives and his timing is always perfect. Now SHE is free and all her pain, and suffering is over and forgotten. She is reunited with her parents and all of heaven’s saints and angels. Although she will be gravely missed here by all who loved her, those same people will be blessed for having known her.

Paula is survived by her husband, Alan Tollefson, her son Bodie Blowers and wife Gina; daughters Cora and Andie; her brothers John Anders, Larry & Pat Anders, Jerry and Toni Anders; and two grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father John and mother Phyllis.
