Jesse Ray Jenkins died Saturday May 30th, 2105 in the Valley Manor Care Center.  Jesse was born to Reatus and Lela Belle (Padgett) Jenkins on October 31st 1935 in Tahoka (Lynn County) Texas, he was one of nine children.  On September 17th 1955 he married Loreta Buckner in Delta she would preceded him in death on November 22nd 2009 after 54 years of marriage.  Jesse is survived by his son Dennis Jenkins (Janice) of Olathe and his daughter Barbara (Joe) Crain of Montrose, in addition he is survived by three grandchildren, Miranda (Shaun) Frasier, Becky (Noel) Jenkins-Mejia, and James Matthew Crain. There are four surviving great grandchildren Sheldon Frasier, Maya Frasier, Carle Mejia and Jasmine Mejia.  Jesse worked for the Uncompraghre Valley Water Users, the last 17 years as the caretaker of Taylor Dam.  Jesse will be missed by his family.

A Funeral Service to honor Jesse is schedule for Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at 10:00 am at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Grand View Cemetery where Jesse will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Loreta. Crippin Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
