Hilda E. Bryant, age 76, of Ridgway, Colorado died July 4, 2014 at her home.  Hilda was born April 12, 1938 to W. Fred and Georgia (Winston) Monson in Gunnison, Colorado.  She spent her childhood and graduated from Gunnison High School.  Hilda married her husband, Tom Bryant on November 5, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and both made their home in Montrose until her time of death.  She enjoyed the outdoors and boating.  She loved horses and going bowling.

Surviving family members include her beloved husband, Tom of the family home in Ridgway; one son, Chuck and wife, Doris Gordon of Bayfield, Colorado; stepdaughter Connie Wine of Jasper, Missouri; grandson Austin Gordon and one great-grandson Piper.  Hilda was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Georgia Monson and brother Butch Monson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hope West Hospice, in memory of Hilda Bryant, P.O. Box 1804, Montrose, Colorado 81402.  A Memorial Service in celebration of Hilda’s life will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phil Nealee officiating.  The service will conclude at the chapel.  A private family inurnment will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction, Colorado at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Colorado.
