Evelyn Doris Tyler, age 85, of Montrose, Colorado passed away February 4, 2015 at the HopeWest Hospice Center in Grand Junction, Colorado.  Evelyn was born July 23, 1929 to Bryan and Gertrude (Kelsay) Atchley in Delta, Colorado.  She was previously married to Homer Murphy, and Glenn Tyler who preceded her in death.  Evelyn moved from Delta to Montrose, where she made her home until her time of death.

She was a member of Christ’s Church of the Valley in Montrose, and V.F.A. organization.  Evelyn loved spending time with her family, children and grandchildren.  Her life was full and rich with both family and friends. Her love for God and her church were also a part of her daily life.

She also enjoyed the outdoors; fishing hunting and gardening.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and her generosity and support was always appreciated.  Evelyn made the days a little brighter and evenings a little warmer. She was a loving mother and devoted wife.  She will be sorely missed by those who knew her.

Surviving family members include her sons, Jim (Kathie) Murphy of Arlington, Washington, Dan (Deanna) Tyler of Montrose, Colorado, Bob (Janice) Tyler of Floresent, Colorado; daughters, Sherry (John) McCluskey of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Kim Fletcher of Montrose, Colorado; four grandchildren, Tracy McCluskey, Aaron Fletcher, Eric Fletcher and Amber Tunget; six great-grandchildren, Trenton Fletcher, Cody Fletcher, Maddy Fletcher, Theyben Tunget, Dustin Tunget and Kelsay Fletcher.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Bill and Chuck Atchley.

A Celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Christ’s Church of the Valley, in Montrose with Gary Hodges Officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Delta Municipal Cemetery on East 3^rd Street in Delta, Colorado.  Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Colorado
