Bonnie Mae  (Hopkins) Miller, 73, of Montrose, Colorado, passed away on January 13, 2015 in Olathe, Colorado.  Bonnie was born in Elyria, Nebraska on July 1, 1941 to parents Viola Jean (Philbrick) and Archie Francis Hopkins.  Bonnie attended elementary school  in Ord, Nebraska .  The family moved to Olathe,  Colorado in the mid-1950s.  Bonnie attended middle school and high school in Olathe and Montrose, Colorado.  Bonnie married Richard L. Trujillo in 1959, and the couple had four children together before the union dissolved in the early 1970s.  Bonnie was later remarried, but was unmarried at the time of her death. 

Bonnie attended Mesa State College and Delta-Montrose Vocational Technical School pursuing clerical, business and nursing vocations.  She worked at many different jobs, but was most known for her exceptional caregiving skills. 

Bonnie was a fun-loving, energetic and adventurous person who loved travel, the outdoors, her children and grandchildren, and was a great friend and family supporter.   She had a ready smile, lots of sass and a great big heart.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Cathy Lynn Ray, Christine Rae (Duane) Homewood, Dee Ann Trujillo (Richard Johnston) and Richard Dean Trujillo, all of Montrose, Colorado; her grandchildren, Travis (Norma) Ray, Tyler Ray, Cole Ray, Christie (Abraham) Wilson, Ryan (Jessica) Homewood, Jacquelin Trujillo-Johnston, Ricki Trujillo-Johnston, Katherine Trujillo-Johnston,  Joshua Trujillo, and six great-granchildren.  She is also survived by her uncle, Franklin Philbrick and two brothers, Dean (Dalla) Hopkins of Trinity, Texas and Charles (Phyllis) Hopkins of Washougal, Washington.

A celebration of life and memorial service will be held at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel, 802 East Main, Montrose, Colorado on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 10:00 am, followed by a lunch reception at the Clubhouse at Cobble Creek in Montrose.   She took care of us all.
