Barbara Lee Lyons, age 80, passed away in the comforts of her home surrounded by family, on May 13, 2016 in Montrose, Colorado. Barbara was born November 2, 1935 to Harold W. and Elizabeth (Fausnet) Wilcox at the home of her grandparents John A. and Anna Barbara Fausnet, on North Mesa. She graduated from Montrose High School in 1953. Active in music, drama, and journalism. She attended Western State Collage, while she was there she was a Marching Drum Majorette and was an accomplished pianist. Barbara married William L. Charlesworth on August 22, 1953. Barbara was known for being active in fundraising for Polio Treatments, the Red Cross, and the American Heart Association.

Barbara is survived by her children Randy (Jime) Charlesworth of Delta, CO, Tammie (Larry) Tabor of Norwood, CO, and Beckie Charlesworth Smith of Montrose, CO; her three step-children Brad Lyons of Kansas, Denise (Bill) King of Denver, CO, Tracy (Steve) Benningsdorf of Montrose, CO; 6 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren; and husband Dennis Lyons. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and her first husband William Charlsworth.

There will be a Memorial Service for Barbara on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Olathe City Cemetery, in Olathe, Colorado. Memorial Contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to HopeWest Hospice of Montrose at 725 South 4th Street, Montrose, CO 81401.
